The PCEA Miracle Church began its inspiring journey in 2009 when it was established as Miracle District under the Kimbo Parish Kirk Session, presided over by Rev. Hezekia Muraya.
The district was initially formed as a fellowship under the Tumaini Local Church Committee (LCC) with thirteen pioneering families. It was placed under the visionary stewardship of Elder Bilha Gathoni Mukuria, supported by three dedicated deacons: Mrs. Virginia Muthoni Mbugua, the late Mrs. Irene Kagai, and Mr. Peter Mwihia Chege.
In 2010, under the guidance of Rev. Charles Maingi, the Tumaini LCC acquired two plots of land. In 2011, a church school shelter was constructed and subsequently dedicated in 2013, creating a welcoming sacred space for children and elderly congregants alike.
On January 5, 2014, Miracle District was granted official permission to conduct Kikuyu language services. Elder Bilha Gathoni Mukuria served as Chairperson, supported by Elder Veronica Wanjiru Maina (Secretary, seconded from Tumaini LCC), the late Elder Joshua Mwangi (former Riverside District leader), and Elder John Mukuria.
Mr. John Mbugua Karuku was ordained as Elder under Kimbo Parish. Miracle District was subsequently divided into Siloam District (led by Elder John Mbugua Karuku) and Bethel District (led by Elder Bilha Gathoni Mukuria).
On January 5, 2015, a historic exodus from Tumaini Church to the current site of Miracle Church was officiated by Rev. Charles Maingi, attended by the Kirk Session and a joyful congregation.
In September 2015, the Kirk Session of Kimbo Parish under Rev. Eutycus Muriithi Gikunju formally approved the establishment of the Local Church Council (LCC) for Miracle Church.
As membership multiplied, God provided more servant leaders to strengthen pastoral care across Mwihoko:
Through dedicated giving and faithful donations, the church acquired 7 additional plots plus 2 donated plots, expanding the church property to 9 plots in total.
